Lost

Having watched the 20th episode of the third season, I have come to the relisation that I still don’t really know anything more than about three episodes into the first.
Everything contridicts itself whilst remaining just possible and recently Charlotte and I have wondered whether some things are not meant to be taken exactly as they look, for example the ages of people in flashbacks, are they meant to look that old or was it just too difficult to make them look any younger?
Now there are a few things that I have only just remembered about that don’t really make any sense…
- Micheal Leaving…
- The shark with the Dharma markings
- The polar bear
- Why although everyone seems to heal quicker on the island, no ones hair ever grows
And I’m sure there are many more. This season seems to have meandered around without really going anywhere, I suppose we have found out a lot about the others - and a bit about thier origins (EP20). But it’s only really raised more questions, I’m sure that we’ll find out? - only 50 episodes to go.
Good Hunting
If anything, Lost is falling more into place than ever before now.
Richard’s lack of aging in Ben’s flashback suggest the natives of the island do not age, which fits in with one of the experiments Dharma was conducting, The Life Extension project. The fact these people don’t age probably explains why there aren’t any pregnancies, it’s natures way.
I think I’ve missed some of the more subtle points!
So what was in Kate’s cage…?
How do you know all of that - is there a secret explaination section at the end of the episodes that I’m not downloading…
I guess it’s probably because I lost interest in Lost a while ago and it’s only really the last few episodes that have brought me back in.
The Life Extention Project is only mentioned on the Hanso Foundation website as far as I’m aware. I also noticed Richard not aging.
I’m more curious about seeing people - ie Bens mum (dead), Walt (wet from being in the sea) and the flashes of someone’s history through the Defence Mechanism. They are more metaphysical in nature.
Also, how are the Others going to deal with Naomi’s anchored ship? They may have a sonic (?) perimeter fence but I’m guessing there’s nothing of military offensive level for taking out a big vessel. Do they even have any more ships now a boat is given to michael and the Sub is gone. As Andi said Michael and Walt will do a Desmond and no doubt float around again.
Oh yea and Locke - D’oh!
One more thing - I honestly thought at one point Ben was going to reveal his white rabbit.
Jack saw his Dad in the early episodes too…
Yea, Hurley saw ‘Dave’, Echo saw his brother.
The big question that nobody’s asking is… when are we going to see Sawyers arse? Get some perspective.
We know that the ‘hostiles’ killed the Dharma people right? So how did the animals survive? did they just escape? Did Ben etc… release them?
The polar bear and shark questions have been answered…
Dharma was running experiments on the animals. Sawyer was kept in the cage where the polar bears were kept (remember the experiment with the dried fish food?). And Jack was kept in the Shark’s tank, which escaped as I believe has been mentioned.
Michael leaving is going to be addressed either in the finale or the start of season 4 I believe.
