Grand Prix, grand prix, grand prix!

offer_17.jpgOnly a couple of days to go until the F1 circus rolls out onto the track at Silverstone, 10.00am on Friday to be precise and while I’m not that excited about it…

…ok, I lied, I’m very excited about it, I can’t wait! The post Schumacher year has so far been like no other in F1, firstly there are two teams that can and have won - with both drivers from both teams. Secondly the majority of the fighting has been between Hamilton and Massa and not Kimi and Alonso. Thirdly even though I was excited about him being in F1 this year and was hoping that he’d do well - I didn’t think that Hamilton would be leading the world championship by 14pts going to his home GP and have a good chance of winning. I bet that Micheal Schumacher is sitting at home (or the Ferrari pit garage) thinking, why isn’t anyone talking about how different F1 is this year.

If Ferrari show that they have the kind of pace they had in France then I think that a Hamilton win will be a challenge but Silverstone is a different circuit, and McLaren will be going hell for leather to try and get a win at their home race. Silverstone does traditionally suit the Ferraris although Alonso won the race last year - the Ferrari of Micheal Schumacher won in Magny Cours. What does this all mean? I have no idea, we won’t know until about lap 5 on Sunday afternoon but the practices times may give us an indication… we’ll see.

And what of the industrial espionage case between Ferrari and McLaren? Well I’ve never been a huge McLaren fan so it’s not going to bother me that much what happens, Hamilton’s driving has been fantastic whatever car he’s been in and they can’t take that away from him!

Good Hunting

Got a feeling that McLaren will do everything - even risk an engine in the next race type thing (well, Lewis’s engine)

Can’t wait - going to be brilliant!!!

See you there!
