Back to work

Now that I’m back from wales where I had a really relaxing time. It’s great to get away from the possibility of doing work and be able to forget about it for a while, I must admit that I’m really looking forward to starting work somewhere that won’t require me to take anything home for a few months.

While I’ve been away (and just before) there’s a few things that happened, firstly Ian, my Dad and Me when to Youngs to sort out what suits we’re going to have for the wedding. It was quite a laugh trying on the different styles in slightly the wrong sizes! There are some great pictures around somewhere - (I’m trying to add a gallery section to the blog at the moment!).

Secondly (Well it should technically be the other way around) my car was broken into and the [lovely upstanding citizen] stole my sat nav and the face off for my stereo. I know that they shouldn’t have been there but everyone get complacent about these things damnit! So after bending the door back into shape I’ve now got to buy a new stereo, and I can’t decide whether to put up with the radio/cassette, to get a cheap CD player or to buy something decent that I could take onto the next car. I can’t see that I’m going to have this car for a huge amount of time but not being able to play CDs is all ready getting annoying.

The holiday was good though, apart from spending a completely unreasonable amount of time in Usk it was good to get out in the fresh air and do some reading and thinking, without feeling the press of my PhD looming around the corner. Again there are some pictures around but hopefully I’ll get the gallery working.

Good Hunting
