Weaning…
Over the last few weeks we’ve started the process of weaning Libby (Technically she started the process herself by grabbing some mushroom off of my plate…), it’s been fun and messy (read fun again). We’re trying something called ‘Baby led weaning’ which basically means that you put small bits of food in front of her and let her get one with it.
It seems to be working at the moment for us and it means that we don’t have to maintain a stock of puréed meals and that we can just give her a small bit of whatever we’re having. Libby seems to be quite taken with this whole food idea and her favourite food so far has to be sweet potato though she did quite like the curry Charlie cooked. She enjoyed the yoghurt too… (see the pictures below).

Holiday time!
Last week we took Libby on Holiday for the first time. We went down to the new forest, to Sandy Balls - named after two giant sandy balls apparently, seriously it says so in the brochure! - we’ve been to Sandy Balls before, in both a tent and the camper but this time we stayed in one of the lodges that they have on site. It’s a nice centre with a swimming pool that Libby enjoyed especially with her new water ring and an onsite restaurant (don’t mention the prices).
The weather stayed nice enough for the week, well apart from the bit where we were walking along a path in the heath we heard thunder… It was ok, we made the tree line before the hail storm and it only lasted a few minutes. Libby only got a few drops on her. We also saw the oldest tree in the forest… oooohh… 600+ years old, apparently Henry VIII could have looked at it, so there.
Here’s some pictures!
