Now I remember why I used to like waiting until things were finished on TV before I watched them.

Now I have to wait a month before we find out whether Adama’s going to nuke the planet, Baltars going to see the last five cylons, whether Apollo and Starbuck are actually going to do anything, whether Tyrol will find the eye, who gets rescued, who gets killed and whether the Cylons are that bothered about the baby…

This weeks installment of Battestar Galactica was a bit different from the more recent episodes. It was focused on one room with flashbacks giving us an insight into the emotions behind the characters actions. As Ian said to me earlier is was good to look back at a happier time for the characters and it did lighten the tone of the series somewhat. I’m not sure that I was a great fan of this format, it felt like I was watching Lost, but it was a change I suppose.
No Cylons in this one (Helio’s Boomer accepted), no space scenes, just a boxing ring and some emotionly charged people. Each of the characters has their reasons for fighting in the ring and we get an insight into their feelings towards each other especially Appollo and Starbuck. Until now it seemed that they were just good friends, but now it seems that they have been lovers and that it was Starbuck that broke it off by marrying Anders. A bit weird given that they seem to have been avoiding that story for the past two seasons. Seems like Kira Thrace has the Adama’s under her thumb - that’s both brothers…

On JB’s birthday/Andi’s Party weekend Abi and Nei lent us both seasons of Spaced. Now I’ve never really seen this series before but it made me laugh. We watched all the episodes in a few days, I couldn’t help thinking though that it would have been even funnier if I’d seen it at the time.
Some of the scenes are brilliant…
