Christmas with the Staceys

This year was Libby’s first Christmas and we have been determined to make it fun! And to start off some traditions that we can hopefully keep going. Though I’m not sure about the Cherry Coke for Santa…

I finished work on Christmas eve and our Christmas started then! Up to the pub for a Christmas eve drink with hot chestnuts (it was cake and cheese on Christmas day!) and then home for a cosy night! Libby didn’t know anything was up - well apart from the fact that she thought we were odd putting out mince pies and reading her stories under the tree.

Libby woke up with a smile and set about opening her pressies - she had quite a few! Far too many to list here, you can see most of them in the pictures.

We had a lovely Christmas meal and Libby had a lovely time playing with all of her new toys, though she did enjoy playing with the pair of tights that Mel had bought her for most of the morning.

Boxing day was a nice quiet day that we spent at home playing - Libby enjoyed all of the food that she had been getting too. We were then host to my Parents and Sister the next day for more Libby presents, Libby also went out for her first curry at a buffet! Dave, Tom and Amanda came up the following day; it was great to see them and catch up and another meal out for Libs.

We were then into travelling to see people, with Great Grandad, and Great Grandma/Grandad on the list - more presents for Libby! By now we don’t any space in the Lounge!

Libby’s Christening

This Sunday was Libby’s christening, we’d like to thank everybody who came for making it such a fantastic day for us and her, also we’d like to thank everyone for the lovely presents that they got Libby. We had a great time on the day and it’s always good to see everyone!

Libby was the star of the show and she didn’t let us down, she was an angel all day, I think that everyone would agree she looked pretty gorgeous in her dress! Hopefully everyone got a cuddle that wanted one. We were lucky that the weather held out as the forecast was for heavy showers but they never found their way to us and everyone was able to sit out in the garden at the Bull - the bar nearly ran out of Pimms ;).

A big thankyou to Ian (aka Libby’s ‘Spiritual Warrior’), Abi, JB and Rachel now that they are official and have renounced the Devil, I hope they enjoy being Libby’s godparents and that we can see lots of them!

Good Hunting
